Community Involvement/Sponsorships

Boys & Girls Club

Boys and Girls ClubTo further our commitment to our community's youth, we've teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of America for a Back to School Backpack drive. We are collecting all school supplies that will be donated to the children who are members of the Boys & Girls Club. Donations can be made at any one of our branches. Suggested donations include backpacks, rulers, pencil cases, pencils, pens, crayons, lunch bags, and any other items that would fulfill a child's "back to school" needs. Snow Storm Creates Blood Emergency

New Jersey Blood ServicesConnectOne Bank came to the aid of New Jersey Blood Services, A Division of New York Blood Center, to help improve the area's blood supply during a crisis fed by the snow storms this winter. With less than a 2 day supply of blood on hand, as opposed to the typical 3 to 5 day supply, ConnectOne Bank went into action to schedule a blood drive at our Main Office in Englewood Cliffs. Our employees, our customers and our community members joined us by giving the gift of life to help the patients of over 200 hospitals in New York and New Jersey served by New Jersey Blood Services. If you would like more information about donating blood visit New Jersey Blood Services' website at www.nybloodcenter.org. This is a great example of how ConnectOne Bank delivers on our "Better Place to Be" mission for our communities.

Shelter Our SisterIn the spirit of the holiday season, ConnectOne Bank held a clothing and toy drive for Shelter our Sisters (SOS), an organization helping women and children who have been impacted by domestic violence in Bergen County. With this drive, SOS was able to help over 200 families, including 450 children and 220 women. The ConnectOne Bank team, including our employees and our clients, helped to grant these women and children items from their wish list.

Center For Food Action Community Food Drive

Employee Flyer With the best interest of our local communities in mind, ConnectOne Bank has partneredwith the Center for Food Action (CFA) and The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties hunger and homelessness this holiday season. We are collecting nonperishable food items at all branch locations during our November Food Drive. All donations made at our Holmdel Location will benefit the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean counties, and donations made at our other seven branches will benefit the CFA. Additionally, we will be running a "Check In for Charity" campaign, where we will donate $1 to the Center for Food Action for each "Check In"* at an ConnectOne Bank branch via Facebook & Foursquare. We are a community-focused bank and the food drives we sponsor for CFA is just one example of how we help our neighbors who need it the most. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to our team members and our clients as we worked together to help others.

We supported the event and made a difference by walking as a team on Sunday October 24, 2010. More than just walk, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event describes the progress we’re making together to save lives by helping people get well, stay well, find cures and fight back. In addition, offered pink ribbon pins for donations at our seven locations throughout the month of October.
